Upload the GL activity for your accruals -- the postings and their reversals. F20 pairs each accrual with its reversal inside the same file, ages what is still open, and flags the accruals that never reversed or reversed for a different amount.
Free accrual analyzer: age accruals still open and show which never reversed or reversed for the wrong amount. Upload the file this page names, review the result in the browser, and download CSV or Excel when offered.
An accrual whose amount does not match its reverse. These are synthetic fixtures, processed in memory and never stored.
Your file is processed in memory and never stored. Nothing is written to disk, and nothing is retained after the response.
A reversal is recognised by account, reference and opposite sign -- deliberately not by matching amounts, since a reversal posted for the wrong amount is exactly what this tool is looking for. Ageing runs from the latest date in the file, not today. If the file contains no reversals at all, reversal status reads 'unassessable' rather than claiming nothing reversed: an extract can simply end before the reversal period.
Pairs an accrual to its reversal inside the one file: same GL account, keyed by the accrual's own reference — or, only where it states none, by a normalised description with reversal markers stripped — and opposite in sign. Amount equality is deliberately not part of the pairing test, because a reversal posted for the wrong amount is one of the findings this tool exists to surface, and requiring equal magnitudes would make it unreachable. Ageing runs on each accrual's currently open balance against the latest date in the file, so a cleanly reversed accrual carries no exposure, and a file that shows no reversals anywhere reads 'unassessable' rather than asserting that nothing reversed.
Upload the accrual journal. Each accrual is paired to its reversal by account and reference. Amount equality is not part of the pairing test, because a reversal posted for the wrong amount is one of the findings this tool exists to surface.
Open the page, drop the accrual journal, and read the result in the browser. Download CSV or Excel when the tool offers those exports.
Yes. There is no charge and no account required. Every tool on F20 FinanceOps runs without signing in. A run made without an account is not recorded.
No. Uploaded files are processed in memory and dropped when the response is sent. Nothing is written to disk. They are never stored.
Have the accrual journal, including reversals. Do not drop reversals that disagree on amount — that disagreement is a finding this tool exists to surface. Pairing uses account and reference, not amount equality.
Work accruals that never reversed or reversed for the wrong amount. Review the underlying journals if the poster or timing is the next question.
Accrual roll-forward is a period-end control: did last month reverse, and did it reverse for the right amount? Amount is not part of the pairing test on purpose. Nothing is auto-reversed.
